Food, health and recovery

Food, rest and treatment make everyday choices matter without turning the game into a daily chore.

1

Food solves hunger

2

Your condition can affect other choices

3

Home and hospital help you recover

01

Start with how your character feels

Now shows the needs that can change your next decision. Hunger is the most common: eating something from Your Things brings it back under control.

Health, energy and focus can also matter. Energy is the strength available for actions; the lightning symbols are simply an easier way to read that same energy, not a second thing you must fill.

If a choice will be harder because of your condition, the page should say so before you commit. Read the words beside an unavailable button instead of guessing which bar is responsible.

02

Food and drink are real belongings

  • Buy them from shops or receive them through another part of city life.
  • Open Your Things and choose Eat or Drink when that action makes sense.
  • Different items can help in different ways; the result explains what changed.
  • Repeated eating is limited, so buying the most expensive food is not a shortcut to everything.
03

Recover at home

Choose Now on the Life Compass, then Home. The room offers quiet ways to recover, such as sitting down, washing or sleeping in. Select the part of the room connected to the action and read which condition it helps.

Recovery actions use time, so choose them when recovery is the point. They are not free extra actions to press between every job. If your character is already busy, wait for that work or journey to finish first.

04

When you need the hospital

Serious injury leads to Solano General Hospital. Find it through The City or follow the hospital notice on Now. The treatment choice tells you its likely cost before you confirm whenever a charge applies.

Treatment can come with a bill, but the hospital is a playable public place rather than a blank punishment screen. You may see care, work or family choices there depending on why your character arrived.

05

If recovery does not seem to work

  • Check the result: the action may have helped health or energy rather than hunger.
  • Check whether the food or drink has already reached its useful limit.
  • Check whether the item is carried or still stored at home.
  • Use the hospital for a serious injury instead of trying to solve everything with food or sleep.
