Public Lives Game is a persistent multiplayer life, economy and civic simulation played in a web browser. One real day is one game month. Rent, wages, relationships, businesses and elections move on that shared clock. There are no paid timer skips. Each player begins with one adult resident in Solano. Find a home, take a job, or run a Corner shop, Bakery, or Bar/live venue. Form relationships, vote, and stand for office. The choices made by human players become part of the same persistent city. Computer-controlled residents called Townsfolk support the city when few human players are online. Townsfolk are clearly labelled and are never presented as human players. Public Lives Game is asynchronous. There are no scheduled sessions, raid times, guilt streaks or energy paywalls. Players can return after time away and see what changed. It is free to play with no pay-to-win. It is for adults aged 18 and over, who self-attest that they meet the age requirement. Adult relationships are part of the simulation and intimate scenes fade to black. The public beta is unfinished. Bugs, balance changes, missing art, downtime, unavailable systems and progress resets are possible.
What makes it different
One real day, one game month
Rent, wages, relationships, businesses and elections move on one shared calendar. There are no paid timer skips.
Asynchronous by design
Solano advances on schedule. There are no required sessions, raid times or energy bars.
Work, homes and businesses
Take a job, rent or buy a home, and run one of the three supported player-owned business types.
Civic life
Vote, stand for office and take part in decisions that affect the shared city.
Clearly labelled Townsfolk
Computer-controlled residents support sparse play and are never presented as human players.
No download, no install
Play in a browser on desktop or mobile. Sign in through a passwordless email link.
Designed not to nag
No guilt streaks, fear-of-missing-out mechanics or energy paywalls. Missing a day does not break a streak.
