Music, screen and fame

Music is live in the public beta. Writing, recording, releasing and performing music use the routes described in this section.

Choose Your Life on the Life Compass, open Culture & Fame, then The Studio. This is where songs, practice and recording begin. Read the time, cost and skill named on an action before committing.

A performance set is the ordered list of songs you plan to play. It works better when the first song welcomes the audience, the middle keeps their attention and the final song leaves a strong ending. The venue should also suit the music and the size of the act.

Performances can build sales, public attention and chart movement. A label is a business that supports releases and promotion, but it does not replace preparation or quality.

Film, television, and theatre are not in the public beta. Do not spend money, time or character planning on a casting call, role or production that appears in an unfinished route.

A studio lot, theatre, casting record or Culture Wire item may still appear as part of Solano's setting. Visible scenery and records are not the same as an available action.

This guide has one play link because The Studio and music work are live. It will not direct players to casting or screening while those systems are outside the beta.

Fame means how much public attention a character receives. It can help a release, booking or campaign, but it does not prove that the work is good or the person is trusted.

Trust, business reputation, creative quality and political recognition are separate. A popular Yap post can make more people notice you without improving a song, court case or public-service decision.

An open mic or small release is enough. Read what the result says, improve one thing and make the next appearance more deliberate.

If no public opportunity is open, work on a skill, prepare material, visit a venue or publish a short Yap post about finished work. Do not spend every dollar on promotion before there is something for the audience to see.
